Cellucor P6 Extreme Red Review- Sheep Placentas??

 Cellucor P6 Extreme Review

The Good:  Errr… stylish bottle

The Bad: Ineffective or plain weird ingredients, high price tag to add insult to injury

Testosterone boosters are a favorite choice for athletes and bodybuilders seeking healthier alternatives to anabolic steroids. They also enjoy huge popularity among casual gym goers looking to take their workouts to a whole new level. These supplements claim to increase testosterone production and turn you into a beast.

Unfortunately, most products are overhyped. With a few exceptions, they will only bring your T levels from low to normal, rather than boosting to high levels. However, if you’re low on testosterone, you’ll feel the difference. In just a few days, you’ll get stronger, have greater energy, and focus better in the gym. In the long run, testosterone boosters support fat loss and muscle growth. This review will discuss the pros and cons of Cellucor P6 Extreme, one of the most popular supplements in its category.

Cellucor P6 Extreme boasts a 3-in-1 formula that claims to suppress estrogen production, increase testosterone levels, and reduce DHT conversion. These factors combined to lead to greater muscle and strength gains.

Its proprietary blend contains stinging nettle root, ovine (sheep) placenta power, agaricus bisporus fruit extract, and salviua sclarea. It’s no need to be a pro lifter to realize that some of these ingredients are quite weird, to say the least! Let’s see how they work and whether or not P6 Extreme is worth the price.

Our Review

We have tested the Cellucor P6 Extreme and checked out what other users are saying. Its proprietary blend is questionable because its dosage is not disclosed. With its awkward ingredients and “secret” (proprietary) formula, this supplement failed to meet our expectations. Some ingredients are proven to work, but others are just hype. Unless you’re new to lifting, Cellucor P6 Extreme is unlikely to make any difference to your performance or muscle gains.

Cellucor P6 Ingredients

This natural testosterone booster features nine different ingredients, which is a good thing. In general, supplements that contain multiple ingredients are more effective than one-ingredient products, but also carry a higher risk of side effects.

Ovine Placenta Powder

This compound seems to be rich in nutrients and growth factors. It also contains a special type of protein that supposedly regulates your hormone levels, boosts immunity, and promotes cell growth.

However we could not find any decent trials/tests that conclude any benefits. So unfortunately (or thankfully) – its not likely this will help make you “ergogenic” – a Cellucor jargon-full word that means enhanced physical performance. Gah.

Beta-sitosterol has a similar chemical structure to cholesterol. This plant compound reduces inflammation and lowers bad cholesterol, but has a negligible impact on physical performance. Additionally, it may cause bloating, nausea, skin rash, and digestive problems. If you have a sensitive stomach or IBS, this ingredient may worsen your symptoms.

Black Cohosh

Black cohosh is typically recommended to menopausal women for reducing hot flashes. It has little or no effects on sports performance and muscle growth.

Wild Yam Extract

This herb helps prevent osteoporosis, inflammation, high cholesterol, and indigestion. Just like black cohosh, it relieves menopause symptoms. We can’t figure out how wild yam will improve your gains. On top of that, it may cause diarrhea, vomiting, and nausea.

Agaricus Bisporus

Agaricus Bisporus is a mushroom extract that supports immune function and liver health. This ingredient is safe, but has nothing to do with sports performance or hormone levels.

Stinging Nettle

This herb may boost testosterone production and suppress prostate growth. It also has anti-inflammatory effects. In rare cases, it may trigger increased sweating, fluid retention, and digestive distress.

Salvia Sclarea

Salvia sclarea is typically used for its blood pressure lowering effects. Again, we don’t see how this ingredient could enhance your gains.

Bayberry Extract

According to WebMd and Drugs.com, bayberry is not only unsafe, but ineffective too. Ingestion may cause gastrointestinal distress, allergies, and respiratory problems.

Tribulus Extract

Cellucor P6 Extreme delivers 250 milligrams of tribulus, which is one of the few ingredients in this product that may actually work. However, the research is mixed in what concerns its effectiveness.

What’s the Drawback?

As you can see, most ingredients in Cellucor P6 have little to do with testosterone levels or sports performance. Their side effects shouldn’t be overlooked either. Since we don’t know the dosage levels of each ingredient, it’s hard to tell how effective they really are.

Where to Buy Cellucor P6 Extreme?

This testosterone booster costs $149.99 on GNC and Amazon. One bottle contains 180 capsules, which is enough for 45 days. Its high price is a turn off for most users.

Our Verdict

Cellucor P6 Extreme lacks scientific support and contains ingredients that are unlikely to work. If you’re expecting to get bigger and stronger while using this product, you might end up disappointed. There are better, less expensive options available, so keep searching until you find a product that’s worth your money.

Cellucor P6 Extreme Reviews and Results

Cellucor, a trusted brand in the world of bodybuilding supplements, has developed it’s P6 Extreme formula that promises to boost testosterone, build strength, grow lean muscle and even help your virility. If it can really do all of these things, this product should be flying off the shelves, right? Well, that may not necessarily be the case.

Cellucor P6 Extreme promises to be a multi-purpose supplement that is able to do three jobs in one. The makers of the product promise that it has three distinct features which any man would benefit from, including:

  • Boosting natural testosterone levels, which will in turn help in building strength, stamina and muscle mass as well as increasing metabolism and libido.
  • Inhibiting the production of estrogen, the “feminine” hormone which your body will produce in response to excessive amounts of testosterone.
  • Reducing the conversion of DHT, a hormone that has been scientifically linked to male pattern baldness, acne, decreased sex drive, oily skin and other negative effects.

If this product can really come through on these three promises, it would probably be worth the price that Cellucor charges for its P6 Extreme. In this article, we will explain if it can.

Cellucor P6 Extreme – The Reviews

The first thing that many customers noted about this product was not the results that it produced,” said our Chief Researcher. “It was the very hefty price that it costs.

At upwards of $100, it is one of the most expensive over-the-counter testosterone boosting supplements you are likely to find.

I thought it must work because of how much it cost,” said Michael F.

So far, there is little evidence that Cellucor P6 Extreme comes through on any of its lofty claims. According to one review, “I wouldn’t waste your money on this. The only results are the ones you make up in your head.

There are some four- and five-star reviews on Amazon with simple statements such as “Great product” or “Good stuff,” but few that actually elaborate on the specific benefits or why it is a great product.

One of the most accurate reviews simply states, “Okay. I guess I did not feel any thing different.

Cellucor P6 Extreme – The Results

This product certainly has some points in its favor. It comes from a trusted manufacturer; Cellucor has been making quality supplements and other bodybuilding products for years. It also contains several ingredients which could be beneficial in the right dosage. However, even the official product website does not elaborate much on the specific benefits the product is supposed to produce. It talks a good deal about the benefits of increased testosterone, but there is little that shows Cellucor P6 Extreme actually does anything to increase it.

Junk. What a waste of money, says D.S. “Used many Cellucor products before, but this was a complete letdown, did not notice anything.

However, one five-star review on Amazon stated that it did help boost testosterone in conjunction with a very specific diet and regimen. He went on to say, “This will help in aggression, good and bad. You have to be prepared to handle some wicked mood swings, but if you can focus it in the gym then it’s a killer product.”

Cellucor P6 Extreme – The Ingredients

When it comes to supplements, the ingredients make the product,” says our Chief Researcher. “You need to know what is in it and the amount. Anything that lists its ingredients as a ‘blend’ is a an immediate red flag.

This is because the “blend” does not specify how much of each ingredient it contains. The product contains some amount of Adaptest ashwagandha root, tribulus alatus fruit, ovine placenta powder, bisporus fruit and saw palmetto, all of which have been shown to have beneficial effects in the right dosage. So the blend may contain some level of these ingredients, but we have no way of knowing how much.

Cellucor P6 Extreme – The Verdict

The product has several points in its favor, but it also has many downsides. The brand and ingredients in the “blend” mean this could be beneficial. However, these are cancelled out by the price and the fact that we don’t know how much of the ingredients are actually in it. There is no way to know if it contains enough of these beneficial ingredients to have a real impact.

In the end, the results are all that matter. Judging from the results we have seen, P6 Extreme cannot come through on its promises  When shopping for a testosterone supplement, you want to find something with a specific list of ingredients and the benefits that each provide. The ingredients make the product, and you need to know what you put in your body.
